Safe checks you can do

- Check behind the washer for a kinked or clogged drain hose.
- Run a spin-only cycle and listen for the pump humming during the first 15 seconds.
- If it hums, unplug the washer, drain the residual water through the small drain tube, and clean the drain pump filter.
- Run a Tub Clean cycle and cut back on detergent if suds are the problem.
When to call a pro
- No humming during the spin test (the pump may have failed)
